Remains of Melanie Jerome discovered

Edmonton police have confirmed that human remains found on November 12th along the North Saskatchewan River near Elk Point have been identified by the medical examiner as that of 47-year-old Melanie Jerome.

Police say foul play is not suspected in the case.

Jerome was reported missing on July 16th of this year. Officers from the Missing Persons Unit have notified her family.
