VANCOUVER - One game – winner takes all.

Game 7 of the 2011 Stanley Cup finals on June 15, is underway, and the first period is over with the score currently standing at 3-0 to the Bruins.

Mason Raymond appeared on the big screen in a back brace in between plays, and received cheers and waves from the crowds. He was smiling but it will take a while until we see him on the ice again.

It was a fast-paced period between these two teams who are both so hungry to become the 2011 Stanley Cup champions.

Rogers Arena is packed with fans, and tens of thousands of people have gathered on the streets of Vancouver to watch the game on the big screens set up around the City. Tensions are high on the ice however, with players jostling each other every opportunity they get.

Ryan Kesler started the game at centre ice, and both teams have fired many shots on goal, and both Roberto Luongo and Tim Thomas are on fire.

Penalties seem to be down in the first period at least, with the referees letting the teams play, and with a far lower amount of power plays than seen in previous games.

With about 5:12 remaining, #37 Patrice Bergeron scored the first goal for the Boston Bruins.

Play continued mostly uninterrupted, with more shots on goal, but no goals going in for either team.

Video to be uploaded soon with highlights from the first period, and keep checking back for our highlights of the second period, and the results at the end of the game.
