Shooting leaves Edmonton man in hospital

A 30-year-old man is recovering in hospital after he was shot overnight in central Edmonton.

Edmonton police received a report of gunshots around 3 a.m. in the area of 74th Street and 112th Avenue, said spokeswoman Lisa Sobchyshyn.

A bus shelter was damaged in the incident and police found several empty shell casings around the scene, she said.

The man, who hasn’t been co-operative with police, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation continues.
