RCMP are continuing their search by land and air for an 81-year-old woman who went missing on a road trip from Jasper to Kamloops.

May Milling left Jasper Friday morning headed for Kamloops, where she was to meet up with a friend, but she never showed up.

Milling was driving a blue 2009 Buick Lucerne 4 door sedan with B.C. license plate 147 LHF, which also has not been found.

"We've had RCMP members on the ground as well as Parks Canada staff, and also an RCMP helicopter making checks, as well as we're able to, along that whole distance." Sgt. Patrick Webb said. "About 400 kilometres between Jasper and Kamloops."

An aerial search of the highway has not found anything. For friends of the senior, hope is beginning to fade.

"I'm feeling pretty sad." Jenny John told Global News. "I think my hope is dwindling because it has been three days, and there was a new moon which makes it so dark. She's on medication, and without medication she's not going to survive."

Anyone who has seen Milling or her vehicle is asked to call RCMP.

Milling's disappearance comes just 2 months after Lyle and Marie McCann disappeared after leaving their home in St. Albert on their way to B.C.
