Edmonton Police are continuing to make arrests and execute warrants as part of their month-long campaign against people with outstanding warrants.

195 warrants were executed, and 72 people were arrested on Friday alone as Operation Warrant Execution (OWE) continues into its third week.

OWE is giving people with outstanding warrants until April 2 to deal with them or else they run the risk of having their names and pictures released to the public. Police say they will also begin visiting offenders at their home or work.

Officers say one person had 16 warrants dealt with, including one for use of counterfeit money. Another individual had 13 warrants executed.

Police have executed over 1,300 warrants and made over 600 arrests since the campaign launched on February 28.

There are about 16,000 outstanding warrants in Edmonton. People can turn themselves in to any police station to deal with their warrants.
