A young Edmonton woman is speaking out, just days after being pulled from the wreckage of one of the biggest disasters in Edmonton in decades.

Amy Fuechtmann and her three year old son Jacob were rescued from their home on Sunday after an explosion leveled the house next door and damged many others in the surrounding area. Fuechtmann and her son lived in their home with her fiance Brad Winter and their friend Craig Huber. Both Winter and Huber were killed in the explosion.

Fuechtmann says she remembers Sunday afternoon vividly. She says she was taking a nap, and when she woke up she found pieces of drywall and the roof falling down on her. She and her son made their way towards the light coming in and were rescued by good samaritans and transported to hospital.

Fuechtmann says her son Jacob was treated for a concussion and some cuts. 48 hours after the tragedy he still cries out for his father.

"He was crying and crying for an hour straight. He wouldn't let anyone touch him. All he wanted was Brad. You know?" she told Global news "He just kept calling out for Brad. He wouldn't let my Mom touch him or me touch him or anyone! He just wanted Brad."

Fuechtmann says she's speaking out because she wants her fiance to be remembered as a caregiver and dedicated father to her son.

Autopsies were performed on Tuesday on all four victims of Sunday's explosion, but details on the cause of death have not been released.
