Search on for suspect in downtown sexual assaults
Edmonton police are searching for a person they believe is responsible for nine sexual assaults in downtown Edmonton between June 28th, and July 5th.
In most cases, a female complainant reported being approached from behind by a male suspect, who touched them inappropiately before fleeing the scene.
All of the incidents happened between 102 Street and 107 Street and Jasper Avenue between the hours of 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
The suspect is described as an aboriginal man who is between 5’8” and 6’ feet tall with short, unkempt hair.
Many of the complainants also reported that the suspect was wearing a black baseball cap and a backpack at the time of the assaults.
