RCMP members investigating the disappearance of Lyle and Marie McCann have returned to the scene where it all began.

On Saturday morning, officers converged on the Minnow Lake Campground, located southeast of Edson.

On July 5th, two days after the couple left their home in St. Albert, their burned out motorhome was found at the campground. RCMP say the search is an expansion of what has already been searched and one of many already conducted. Last weekend investigators, along with a dive team, searched a rural property near Niton Junction and Nojack.

"They told us they have 20 people working on this full time, and they're just following up on leads and searching where those leads take them." The couple's son Bret McCann said on Saturday. "I'm just reassured that their being diligent and pursuing our case here."

RCMP have not disclosed why they decided to head back to this location, but say they are making headway in the case.
