Fundraising concert an elabourate hoax?

Several Edmontonians are demanding their money back, after donating to a fundraising concert they say was nothing more than an elaborate hoax.

The concert was supposed to take place this past July at Commonwealth Stadium, featuring bands like the Tragically Hip and Nickelback.

Thousands of tickets were sold, but Commonwealth was never even booked.

Proceeds from the event were supposed to go towards the creation of a memorial garden in tribute to fallen soldiers, police officers, and firefighters.

The money is now gone, and supporters are calling for RCMP to investigate the woman behind the bogus event.
