EDMONTON – Three men and a woman have been arrested in relation to a string of armed robberies outside of Edmonton.

Police are investigating seven bank robberies in Lac La Biche, Wildwood, Bonneyville, Millet, Onoway, Wetaskiwin and Gibbons. Four of the heists have been at ATB branches, prompting bank officials to post an additional $10,000 reward for information that led to the suspect’s arrest and conviction.

The robberies have been occurring since the end of November.

On Friday morning, RCMP and Edmonton Police arrested the four suspects in the Beverly area of Edmonton.

Police have confirmed one of the men arrested was 34-year-old Franklin Gladue.

Gladue is facing numerous armed robbery charges with other charges pending.

Police say the other two men arrested are youths and their identities cannot be released. The two were being sought by RCMP for being alleged accomplices to Gladue. Charges are pending against them.

The identity of the female is also not being released at this time.

The investigation continues.
