Eric Tillman is slated to return to the CFL.

It has been widely reported that Tillman is the frontrunner for the position of general manager for the struggling Edmonton Eskimos.

According to multiple unidentified sources, the team will announce Eric Tillman as the team’s new general manager within days. Sources have stressed that the question is not if Tillman will become the team’s new general manager, but when.

Tillman’s life in the public eye has been one of victorious highs and regretful lows.

He has won three Grey Cups as a GM, first in 1994 with the B.C. Lions, then in 1997 with the Toronto Argonauts, and again ten years later with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Tillman resigned his post with the Riders in January, after pleading guilty to a charge of sexual assault.

He was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 16-year old babysitter in August 2008. Tillman received an absolute discharge in the case, meaning that he is considered guilty of the offence, but does not have a criminal conviction.

The Eskimos are currently the last-place team in the league, with a record of 2-8. They have been without a GM since firing Danny Maciocia on July 31.

Global News wants to know what you think of Tillman’s possible return as the Eskimos’ GM.
