Charges laid in north Edmonton homicide

Police are investigating a suspicious death in northeast Edmonton.

Edmonton police, with assistance from the RCMP have arrested and charged one man in connection with the death of Andrew McPherson. The body of the 25-year-old was found in a north Edmonton apartment on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.

Investigators travelled to Lloydminster, Alberta, where they arrested Jordan Cordell Steinhauer, 20, without incident. Steinhauer has now been charged with second degree murder, and a weapons offence.

Steinhauer is set to appear in court on Tuesday, September 21st.
