A motorcade carrying the body of former Premier Peter Lougheed has arrived at the Alberta Legislature. The hearse left Calgary around 3:30, Sunday afternoon and arrived at the Legislature around 7:00.Watch the entire procession as the motorcade arrived in Edmonton, from our Global 1 news helicopter.
Lougheed will lie in state at the Legislature on Monday and Tuesday, giving Albertans the opportunity to pay their respects and say a final farewell to the man many refer to as one of the most remarkable Canadians of this generation. The public will be able to pay their respect and offer condolences at the Legislature on Monday from 10:30a.m. until 8p.m. and on Tuesday from 8a.m. until 6p.m.
