At 5:10 Monday, Environment Canada issued a tornado warning was issued for Leduc County, near New Sarepta and Rolly View; County of Wetaskiwin, near Wetaskiwin, Millet, and Highway 2; Camrose County, near Hay Lakes and Miquelon Lake Provincial Park; Camrose County near Camrose and Bittern Lake.
At 5:10 pm MDT meteorologists are tracking a rotating severe thunderstorm 10 kilometres southwest of Hay Lakes and a second storm 25 kilomtres southeast of Wetaskiwin. These thunderstorms are moving to the northwest at 50 km/h and have the potential to produce large hail, strong wind gusts, heavy rainfall and possibly a tornado.
This is a warning that severe thunderstorms with tornadoes are imminent or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions. Take immediate safety precautions.

At 5:50 pm. MDT, Doppler radar is tracking a rotating thunderstorm 25km Southeast of Leduc. It is moving NW at 60 km/hr towards the communities of Leduc and Southwest Edmonton. This dangerous storm is likely producing very large hail and may produce a tornado within the next 30 minutes.
Be prepared to take shelter immediately in a basement or reinforced structure if a tornado develops. Get low and put as many walls between you and the storm as possible. Stay away from windows, doors and outside walls. If you are on the highway and cannot avoid the tornado, seek shelter in a ditch or ravine.
