Red Deer RCMP are investigating after a four-month old baby girl died Saturday from serious head-injuries.
Officers were notified around 8:30 p.m Friday evening, two hours after the child was brought to Red Deer Regional Hospital.
The infant was later air-lifted by STARS Air Ambulance to the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, where she succumbed to her injuries early Saturday morning.
RCMP are treating the infant's death as suspicious. An autopsy will be performed on Monday.
In the meantime, the case is being investigated with help from Red Deer RCMP's Forensic Investigation Section and K Division Major Crimes Unit.
