Operation Warrant Execution has already had an impact in the first few days of being launched.
The campaign initiated Tuesday urged people with warrants to come forward or risk public humiliation in the form of having their identity published in local papers.
Police report in the first 3 days that 300 warrants were executed leading to 110 arrests being made.
One man had 36 warrants with one of them involving violence.
There are more than 16 thousand outstanding warrants in the Edmonton area, ranging from minor traffic violations to violent assaults.
Anyone with a warrant has until April 2nd to deal with them. After that police will start visiting people at work or at their home and will risk having their identities publish in local media.
