EDMONTON - Alberta's education minister has unveiled an online tool that gives parents information about what their children are learning at school.
It can also tell them how their kids are being assessed by subject and grade level.
Thomas Lukaszuk says parents can also use the tool to explore online learning materials to help youngsters with their studies.
The online tool was developed with input from the Alberta School Councils’ Association and parents from across the province.
Lukaszuk says parents said they wanted plain language and the ability to link to a resource using mobile devices.
It's believed Alberta is the first jurisdiction in Canada to have an interactive, online tool for parents.
