HALIFAX - Thomas Cook Canada Inc. is making an early exit from its five-year agreement with Jazz Aviation at the end of this month due to market conditions.

Jazz has been operating a small fleet of Boeing 757 jets for the British vacation company since 2010.

The arrangement had another three years to run but Thomas Cook has notified Jazz that it's quitting early.

Jazz says it will cease flying planes for Thomas Cook at the end of April - at the end of the travel company's winter travel season.

The Halifax-based company's parent is traded publicly as Chorus Aviation Inc.

Air Canada is by far the largest customer for Jazz, which provides seating capacity to Canada's largest airline under contract.
