A 22 year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of 17 year-old Perry Johnson, who succumbed to his injuries on a central Alberta reserve August 31st.
RCMP investigators discovered that Johnson's injuries stemmed from a fight with another man.
Around 11 p.m. on August 30th, Hobbema RCMP were called to the Pigeon Lake Reserve near the summer village of Ma Me O Beach, where they found Johnson. He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, which he did not survive.
Chris Norbert, of the Saddle Lake First Nation, has now been charged with second degree murder. He is currently in custody, and will remain there until his appearance in Wetaskiwin Court on September 11, 2012.
