Three of the four men accused of a series of hate crimes on Whyte Avenue made their first court appearance Thursday morning.
Police charged James Brooks, David Goodman, Jason Anderson and Keith Decu after a series of racially motivated beatings on Whyte Avenue. The four are said to be members of a white supremacist group.
Decu did not appear in court on Thursday, and only Goodman spoke.
He worried about a bail condition preventing him from having any contact with his co-accused. He said "because of all the stuff on the news my family won't talk to me no more... The only place I have left to live as at his house. We work together."
The judge amended Goodman's bail conditions. The four are slated to appear in court again in early April.
