RCMP suspect British solider may have bitten off part of woman's tongue

Cold Lake RCMP are investigating after a woman allegedly had part of her tongue bitten off by an unknown male in a bar.

The assault allegedly took place in the early morning hours of October 3rd at a bar in Cold Lake while the two were kissing. The suspect fled the scene immediately afterwards.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but was later released. She will require further medical treatment.

RCMP say it is possible that the suspect may be a member of the British Armed Forces and are working with the British Military to identify him.
