In response to the earthquake in Japan, Shaw will provide free calls to Japan for subscribers with a Shaw home phone until further notice.
Shaw has also unscrambled TV Japan so Japanese speaking subscribers with friends and relatives in Japan can watch news of events unfolding on channel 514 until March 17.
“Our hearts go out to the people impacted by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan,” said Peter Bissonnette, President, Shaw Communications Inc. “In times like this we pull together to ensure information is easily accessible – it’s important to Shaw to ensure that we share news about the disaster in whatever way we can.”
