More than 100 toys that were presumed to be stolen from a Salvation Army toy drive in St. Albert have been located.
An internal investigation by the charity showed that the toys were in fact inside one of their warehouses.
"An internal investigation has uncovered that the toys were erroneously redirected to the wrong Salvation Army unit." said Karen Diaper, spokesperson for The Salvation Army a written release.
"The Salvation Army is very thankful to all of the people in the community who made donations to help replace the toys."
The Salvation Army made a plea to the media on Thursday for help because they believed that more than 100 donated toys had been stolen from a Walmart toy drive in St. Albert.
