Police investigating homicide number four

Homicide detectives are investigating Edmonton’s fourth murder of 2011, this one in the north-central neighbourhood of Parkdale.

The victim’s body, in an alley east of 82nd Street and near 114th Avenue, is in a snowbank, with only a pair of boots visible.

Police on scene say they have someone in custody.

Police spokeswoman Clair Seyler said very little information is available yet, including the gender or approximate age of the victim. Detectives are speaking to witnesses, neighbours and the first police that arrived at the scene.
