Kendra Slugoski joined Global Edmonton in the summer of 2005. She had just completed a year long holiday- traveling around Australia, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. While her year abroad was an amazing experience- Kendra was excited to start a new chapter in her career- and made the gutsy move to Edmonton.

Previously she was working as a reporter in Calgary and never thought she'd call Edmonton home. Now she considers our city the best kept secret.

Kendra grew up in northern Manitoba. She was born in a small town called Snow Lake--her family eventually moved to Flin Flon (home of hockey great Bobby Clarke). Kendra tries to make the 11 hour drive to Flin Flon a couple times a year to visit -but travelling with an infant and dog make for a long road trip!

Kendra completed her diploma at Assiniboine Community College and started her Broadcasting journey in Brandon, MB at the local news station (CKX) before moving to Global Saskatoon to become a reporter.

Kendra is very passionate about her job and the people she meets. She has flown with the Snowbirds, covered high profile court cases and reported from towns all over Alberta, but what she loves most about reporting are the day to day stories. Every person has a unique story to tell whether it is their passion for a cause, their beliefs, or making a difference in their community.

Outside of work Kendra tries to stay active. She loves running- taking her pup to the dog park- and most all spending time with her husband Tony and their little guy Elijah.
