Global Edmonton's Fletcher Kent keeps Albertans up to date on provincial politics in his role as the legislative reporter.
Fletcher has always loved writing and current events so the decision to become a reporter was an easy one. Fletcher received his journalism degree from the University of Regina in 1998. Since then, Fletcher has honed his reporting skills at several TV stations. Fletcher loves sharing Edmonton's most important stories with Global viewers. "It's important we all know what is happening in our city and our province," says Fletcher. "I am honoured Edmontonians have entrusted me and the Global News team to tell them the stories they think are important."
Fletcher has been with Global Edmonton since 2002. Before coming to Alberta, he worked and grew up in Regina. When he's not working, Fletcher enjoys cycling in Edmonton's wonderful river valley. When there's too much snow for that, he curls and likes to go skiing.
