Dayhome operator faces additional sex assault charges
Additional charges have now been laid against a dayhome operator accused of sexual assaults against children.
Walter Edmund Nash was initially charged with four counts of sexual assault, four counts of sexual interference, and two counts of invitation to sexual touching in June.
At the time of the initial charges, four victims who had been clients at a Montrose area dayhome run by Nash and his wife had come forward.
Another victim has now come forward, saying she was assaulted by Nash in 1988 when she was four years old.
She came forward to police after media reports about the initial charges laid against Nash.
Nash now faces two counts of sexual assault, one count of invitation to sexual touching and one count of sexual interference.
Police and the Zebra Child Protection Section believes there could still be other victims that have not come forward, and are asking anyone who may have been a victim to call Constable Jeff Steil at (780) 421-3485.
Nash and his wife closed their dayhome in 2010.
