From fuel to food to flying, Canadians, these days, are getting hit from every direction.

At some grocery stores, produce prices have more than tripled in just two months. It all has to do with the freeze in Mexico, and the southern United States.

Then there's the rising cost of fuel, which has forced a number of airlines, like Air Canada - to charge a $10.00 surcharge each way on flights to the U.S.

Curtis Henklemann is a grain farmer who relies on fuel to run his business, using up to 1,200 litres of fuel a day, during spring and fall.

"It's more stress it's more burden, because you're not guaranteed you're going get that crop." Henklemann said. "You spend all this money and some how you have to pay it."

Henklemann predicts he'll have to pay an extra $35,000.00 in fuel, over the course of the year.

Economists say oil trading at more than $100.00 U.S. a barrel, bad crops around the world, and the economic recovery are all helping drive prices higher.

How will the higher cost of living impact your life? Have your say in the comments.
