Calgarians are cleaning up after a sudden thunderstorm hit the city and surrounding areas around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, sparking a flood of 911 calls.
Pelting rain, thunder, lightning and strong wind gusts were reported around the city and a number of nearby towns were hit as well.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Calgary, Airdrie, Bragg Creek, Cochrane, Olds, Crossfield, Cremona and Madden.
The fast-moving storm cleared many areas in about half an hour, but left lots of damage behind.
Emergency crews were called to more than 130 reports of downed trees, signs, power lines and fences that had been downed.
There were also a number of power outages, and a semi-trailer flipped on its side. Fortunately there were no reports of injuries.
A number of flights departing from the Calgary International Airport were also delayed.
The storm hit less than 48 hours after a major hail storm that caused millions of dollars of damage in the city.
