Three snowmobilers died after driving off an embankment near Waintwright Wednesday night.
Witnesses tell RCMP that four snowmobilers were driving east in a field toward the town of Edgerton, east of Wainwright.
As they came out of the field they plummeted off a 6 metre embankment onto the highway below.
Three of the snowmobilers were killed. The condition of the fourth snowmobiler is not known.
The witnesses tell police there was no indication of alcohol being involved, but that will be determined when the Medical Examiner conducts an investigation.
