Kevin O'Connell

Only Global Edmonton's Kevin O'Connell is monitoring the weather for you after the sun goes down.  The seasoned weather specialist brings you Edmonton's only live, late night forecast, weeknights at 11.00 on News Hour Final, our city's most-watched late night, local newscast.  He also brings his forecasts and very quick wit to the Saturday Morning News, Edmonton's only live, local, weekend morning newscast.

Kevin started in television in Red Deer in 1988.  In 1993, he moved to the City of Champions to co-host ITV First News (now the Morning News on Global Edmonton).  Kevin loves being a weather broadcaster, because he doesn't have to take everything so seriously.

Kevin is involved in the community as a volunteer for the Cancer Foundation, Crime Stoppers, the Edmonton Humane Society and other charitable organizations.

When Kevin is not telling us the weather, he is spending time with his wife Amanda, their two young children, and their two basset hounds.  As a family, they enjoy camping, biking and the outdoors.
