Saskatchewan's population has increased by 16,000 people over the past year. The number of people living in the province is at an all time high.
Minister Rob Norris says it’s a sign of the continuing strength of the Saskatchewan economy. “Last week, RBC forecast that Saskatchewan will lead the country with an economic growth rate of 5.3% in 2011.” said Norris. “They also said employment in Saskatchewan will grow by more than two percent, which means about 10,000 new jobs for Saskatchewan people.”
Saskatchewan’s growth rate is slightly ahead of British Columbia’s rate.
