Today, SaskTel announced the launch of the first phase of its 3G+ wireless network.
“The 3G+ network will allow SaskTel to offer faster network speeds, a greater selection of devices, increased roaming capability and more applications and content,” Bill Boyd said. Boyd is the minister responsible for SaskTel.
Customers will have access to faster network speeds and faster mobile browsing, officials say.
The network will be available to customers in Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Weyburn, Yorkton, Swift Current, Prince Albert, North Battleford and most connecting highways on August 16.
The 3G+ network in its entirety will be available province-wide by the end of this year.
