- April 10: The University of Alberta Students’ Union held a forum for candidates in Edmonton-Riverview. March 17 - The Alberta Teachers’ Association invited Education Minister Thomas Lukaszuk (PC incumbent in Edmonton-Castle Downs), New Democrat Rachel Notley (incumbent in Edmonton-Strathcona), Liberal Leader Raj Sherman (incumbent in Edmonton-Meadowlark), Wildrose Senate candidate Vitor Marciano and Alberta Party candidate Sue Huff (candidate in Edmonton-Glenora) to discuss education issues at Barnett House in Edmonton.
